INSPIRATION: Naturally
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: When one cuts pencil, sawdust is generated.
In the triangular flask, sawdust is contained without being hided.
I think not to hide is natural, and such a naturalness is beautiful.
‘Acutor’ containing beauty is the pencil cutter considering both its esthetics and practicality.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: By inserting pencil into the hole of cork from the above, the pencil is cut manually.
Since there is a hole at the bottom of cork to dispose of garbage, sawdust of pencil is conducted to it.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in March 2011 in Korea and finished in October 2011 in Korea
and was exhibited in Seoul Korea

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: In most pencil cutters, sawdust is hided in it.
By exposing what is hided, it expresses esthetics.
This pencil cutter, even when it is not used, displays new value.
Finally, since a blade is hided in the cork, one can cut pencil using the cork.
