| DESIGN NAME: Immortal PRIMARY FUNCTION: Earring INSPIRATION: A chunk of diamonds got collected on the side while I was putting physical pieces on my other design.These chunk formed a 'C' shape of a ear & thus inspired me to design it. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Earring is quiet unique in itself.It is different because it starts from the half ear goes southward towards the earring hole where it is worn & then it dangles down which gives a beautiful,sparkling & a bling look to the women's personality. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project took 45 days to be completed.Right form the designing process to procurement of the stones to mold the metal in different sizes of the american diamonds & then setting the stones size-wise keeping in mind the length & width ratio of the earring. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Fashion, Apparel and Garment Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Technology could not be used while making because it was totally handcrafted.Me & my artisan hit many road blocks in reference to sizing of diamonds,spacing between them(equidistant), length & width ratio from the ear lobe.Pear & Marquise shape american diamonds of different sizes are studded in the silver earring. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Length-60mm,Width-13 TAGS: - RESEARCH ABSTRACT: To the outsider (women) I would tell them to close their eyes wear the earring & experience the look of the face. CHALLENGE: The main challenge was at the time of assembling all the individual diamond sockets together right from starting of the half ear to maintain a subtle look and gradually maintaining the flow of the earring till the ear lobe in reference to the width & weight so that the upper part i.e half ear doesn't swing out.The dangling part of the earring i.e the part below the ear lobe to be of the moderate length & width ratio in reference to the half ear part.Thus after a many challenges the earring took birth.
