TAGS: It wa a difficult process dealing with processes and trade folk in a language that is not my own. Each process took me through at least 3 suppliers before find the right ones. I feel it is baroque, romantic and magical.
RESEARCH ABSTRACT: This started in 2005, has been exhibited in over 17 trade fairs. Frankfurt, Germany; Paris, France; London UK; NY, USA; Cologne, Germany; Rimini , Italy amnong others.
CHALLENGE: After looking in varius design and lighting stores for a chandelier, and not finding one that I liked, I set about to design one myself. After 6 months of not sleeping through the night, tweaking the design, the mechanics, researching the materials, and the processes of how it might be produced, I arrived at a prototype that I was finally satisfied with and took it to a trade show in Denmark. It was important to me that the packaging be as eco-friendly as possible. That the disposable of any waste material be eco-responsible.
