DESIGN NAME: Pure Aura
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Emotion Centric Shampoo
INSPIRATION: Inspired by Kurdish tradition, our shampoo design mimics the practice of using a ground-dug vessel for washing children's hair, minimizing chemical exposure to the earth. This concept promotes environmental respect and offers a unique approach to scalp care.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Our unique design feature transforms labels and graphic patterns into a tactile form for various hair types. In this way, the viewer perceives the shampoo bottle initially as a stylish hat and then discovers the presentation of their hair's health and vitality at a glance. The hat serves as both a creative packaging element and a symbolic representation of the shampoo's design concept.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: To use the shampoo, pour a specific amount of water into the top part designed to resemble different hair lengths. Then, seal the shampoo inside it, considering the guide on the back of the shampoo and the volume and height of the hair. Apply pressure to the shampoo bottle as needed, one or two times or as necessary. Shake the bottle to mix the shampoo and water thoroughly. Open the bottle and use.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in April 2022 in Tehran and finished in August 2023 in USA.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: To manufacture the bottle body, raw plastic materials in the form of granules or powder cycles are transported to plastic injection machines. Under high pressure, the plastic undergoes melting and is injected into bottle molds. For the production of the upper section, silicone material has been employed.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We utilized two research methods, field observation and practical investigation, along with historical research for this study. We visited Kurdish regions of Iran, observed, and studied their history. We discovered that their bathing practices reflect a form of respect for the earth. They engage in a bathing ritual that involves diluting cleansing agents to minimize soil pollution. This process is conducted in a metal container buried about 300 millimeters deep into the ground, showcasing a deep connection to their land.
CHALLENGE: The challenge we faced was the transformation of a traditional culture into a minimal and modern product. Through meticulous form processing and an emotional design approach, we achieved this result.
