DESIGN NAME: Movements
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Jewelry Collection
INSPIRATION: A collection inspired by my mother, in her spirit full of art, colors and magic. She taught me that, everywhere, with all materials and at any time, art is created, design surrounds you and is part of your life. "Movements" is a collection where I capture the dynamic personality of a creative woman, who always changed her position to adapt to life, without losing her brave, strong and cheerful essence that is reflected in the silver with which she created a life full of colors and shades.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: I am representing the wooden figurine, which exists in every plastic artist's workshop. Being a guide of the movements of the human body. Each of the figures that consists this collection was sculpted by hand in wax, to achieve the exact movement and its articulations of this figurine, it is so diverse and versatile the mother piece of this collection that gives for infinite design possibilities.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: •The necklace, in each of its spaces there is design, the clasp is a figurine that with its arms holds the ring, it can be placed with a low-cut neck or high neck, with a gathered hairstyle to show off the entire design.
•The triple ring is planned to fit on the middle and ring finger, as the figurine sits on the little finger, thus showing the design through a 360° angle.
•The double ring is planned for the index finger, departing from the conventional positions that exist in the market.
•The single ring of the figurine, which is lying down, is planned for the index or middle finger so that the design extends on the fingers parallel to it.
•The earrings are planned with a pin and butterfly system, so that the whole design is fun and cheerful in all its positions when it interacts with the ear.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project began in 2011 in my workshop, designing and carving the wax by hand for each position.
Starting with a primary figure and then developing the following movements of the figurine, it is getting bigger and bigger over the years until now.
It is a very successful collection!

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: More than 50 agates were selected in the north of the country to achieve unique pieces in each necklace, as are the agates themselves for which figurines were modeled to fit the design of each stone.
The four models of rings that do not have stones were planned so that the figurine would wrap around the finger in an unusual and singular way, resulting in very comfortable rings. The earrings are not planned to be the same pair, but the customer can choose different positions of the figurine, achieving a pair of earrings with more movement in the design.
This collection has been developed over several years and has given us an enormous diversity in design.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: In my mother's workshop, who was a painter, I always saw this wooden figurine that she changed its position every day, for fun or as a tool for plastic work. Since I was a child I have always admired the human body, where its movement and articulations are a great enigma, since I started my career as a jeweler and goldsmith, I learned to carve it in wax, learning to sculpt it, detail it, polish it and manipulate it, which made me fall in love working with it.
CHALLENGE: To achieve perfection in such small and delicate wax, to achieve every detail in this figurine.
