| DESIGN NAME: Treatise on Painting PRIMARY FUNCTION: Book INSPIRATION: Zverev is metaphorical, laconic, plays with words as masterly as he handles a brush - many of his poetic lines are instantly etched in the memory, and his treatises surprise with the depth and paradox of his thoughts. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The publication uses graphic works by the great Russian artist A. Zverev from the collection of the AZ Museum and the archive of D. Apazidiv. This treatise is dedicated to G. Costakis, a collector and donor, a man who collected and promoted the works of Anatoly Zverev. NAME: AZ Museum PROFILE: The AZ Museum is one of the youngest and most dynamically developing private museums in Russia. The mission of the museum is to update the heritage of Soviet unofficial artists of the 1960s - 1980s. The creators of the museum are collector and philanthropist Natalia Opaleva and curator Polina Lobachevskaya. Today the Museum's collection includes more than 3,500 works.The museum's collections contain over 1,500 works by Anatoly Zverev and artists of his circle. The museum’s collection also contains archival documents related to the life and work of Anatoly Zverev.The Museum does not have a permanent exhibition - exhibitions replace each other, each time rediscovering the work of the sixties.Multimedia screens play an important role in the concept of the exhibition space. They expand the real space of each floor and allow you to see Zverev's work from new angles. |
