INSPIRATION: These project is inspired by a question my younger brother asked Esther, "Are there any people on the moon?". Knowing the answer, of course, she choose not to tell him the plain fact but to draw two diptychs of dinosaurs living on the moon. Esther wants to use these images to boost kids' imagination and creativity about the universe and dinosaurs before being taught with knowledge.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This work is particularly valuable to me because it questioned the concept that knowledge restricts imagination and displayed the possibility of creativity. Esther Tang's objective was to motivate individuals to maintain an open mind, be inventive and original, and value and believe in science.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The combination of imaginative storytelling with interactive technology captivates audience, encouraging them to explore and learn. It performs better by leveraging the natural human tendency for exploration and discovery, thus fostering a love for science and creativity. They could explore their imagination through the visual experince of the illustration series.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Lunar Dinosaur Fantasy World serves as a pioneering exploration into the confluence of creativity, education, and science, aiming to ignite the imaginations of young minds through the fantastical concept of dinosaurs living on the moon. At its core, the research employs a qualitative and exploratory approach, seeking to understand and expand the creative and scientific horizons of children. The objective is clear: to foster a sense of wonder and curiosity about the universe and its ancient inhabitants, while subtly introducing the children to scientific principles. Through a combination of literature review and creative workshops, the project delves into existing knowledge of dinosaurs and space, using interviews with children and educators to gather insights and employing sketching and storyboarding as tools to bring imaginative concepts to life.
Participants, including children of varying ages and educators, play a crucial role in shaping the project's direction, providing valuable feedback that informs the creation of engaging and educational illustrations. These illustrations not only captivate the children's interest but also encourage them to question and explore the world around them, demonstrating the project's success in achieving its goals.
The results and insights gained from this endeavor highlight the transformative power of integrating educational content with creative storytelling, proving that learning can be both fun and impactful. In the broader context, the project underscores the potential for innovative educational tools in the business sector, advocates for the integration of creativity in science education within society, and inspires designers to pursue imaginative approaches in educational content delivery. Ultimately, the dinosaur series project exemplifies how imaginative storytelling and educational initiatives can work hand in hand to inspire future generations, encouraging them to explore, question, and understand the world in new and exciting ways.
CHALLENGE: Lunar Dinosaur Fantasy World navigated a maze of creative and practical challenges. Internally, it balanced historical accuracy with imaginative storytelling and aimed to engage children by weaving in social themes relevant to science education. Externally, it contended with copyright laws, technological limitations, and the need for meticulous research within a tight budget. Leveraging advancements in digital art tools became a pivotal strategy, enabling the team to produce vibrant, educational content. Overcoming these hurdles required a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach, blending science, law, education, and digital creativity. This journey underscored the project's commitment to innovation, demonstrating how challenges can spark inventive solutions that enrich educational media.
