| DESIGN NAME: Meinger Cracow PRIMARY FUNCTION: Hybrid Hotel INSPIRATION: Inspiration is the slogan 'Flow of Creation', which is intended to reflect the spirit of adventure and the experience of unforgettable moments. We used motifs such as magic, referring to the legends of cities and Collegium Maius, the center of 'magical knowledge', the chessboard motif and the widespread playing of chess by the river, the sale of local food and stalls, shop windows. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Meinger Cracow is a hybrid hotel combining the services and comfort of an international economy hotel with amenities - shared areas, such as a kitchen for guests and a games zone.The accommodation facility has a flexible room structure. Rooms range from classic double rooms and private shared rooms to beds in shared dormitories. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Meinger Cracow is join to type of accomodation's function: hotel and hostel so it means the services and comfort of an international economy hotel with amenities - shared areas, such as a kitchen for guests and a games zone. Hotel has has a flexible room structure because there are range of rooms from private, double rooms and shared rooms like a dorm. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project starrted in 2021 in May and finished in August 2023 in Cracow, Location of hostel is in Cracow on Grzegrzolki district so have magical atmosphere of tradition, people integration and nature. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: We used motifs such as magic, referring to the legends of cities and Collegium Maius, the center of 'magical knowledge', the chessboard motif and the widespread playing of chess by the river, the sale of local food and stalls, shop windows. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Area 450 square metears, There are 5 levels- floors. Ground floors is common areas, another one is rooms and doorms floors. TAGS: creation, tradition, flow, localised, contemprorary, colour, patten RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The starting point was the inspiration from the location, Krakow. We tried to find motifs associated with tradition - old shop windows, the existing situation - a place for playing chess over the boulevards. The common denominator was the theme of magic - Colegium Maius, which allowed us to combine individual elements in a creative way. The next stage was work on function and materials. The most important thing is the recipient, which is why we selected all the details with particular care to create a flexible space for a wide group of customers. CHALLENGE: Design by own carpets and wallpaper to connect us much as is possible our letifmotifs and structure of builings. It was a long way frome analyse to realisation.
