| DESIGN NAME: Minia Collection PRIMARY FUNCTION: Child Room Furniture Set INSPIRATION: Inspired by the Montessori philosophy, The Minia Set is designed to guide little explorers on their path to independence. Our inspiration comes from the child's growth, sense of curiosity and exploration on their own journey. Each piece is designed for children to discover and utilize within their rooms, encouraging self-reliance. To provide a safe and fun environment that stimulates imagination and encourages learning through play. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: In Minia Set, rounded furniture corners are important design elements that we use to improve safety in baby and children's furniture. These corners help prevent head injuries and other injuries that can be caused by sharp corners. It is designed to be both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Each piece is ideal for children to discover and use all by themselves. On the environmental aspect, The furniture is made with E0 certified non-toxic materials, ensuring it's free from harmful substances. On the other hand, the color scheme plays a crucial role in determining the atmosphere and mood of a child's room. We know that the significant impact on child development and psychology, so we preferr soft colors and created a calm and peaceful atmosphere. Additionally, soft-textured complementary accessories enrich the collection, promotes the development of motor skills, encouraging children to explore their surroundings. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The Minia Collection is a furniture collection that brings a modern and elegant look to baby and children's rooms. Dominated by soft yellow and gray tones, this collection allows you to create a calm and peaceful atmosphere in baby and children's rooms. All products in the Minia collection perfectly match each other so you can create an ideal room for your baby and children using combinations of different products. Last but not least, Minia collection are made from non-toxic materials and that have been tested for safety. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Project duration is 5 months. It started in September 2023, finished in January 2024. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Minia Collection requires E0 quality products, which are powder coated on MDF panels. Powder coating offers a range of benefits over traditional liquid painting methods. There are some of the key advantages: Durability: Powder coating creates a tough, hardwearing finish that is resistant to chipping, scratching, fading, and corrosion. Environmental friendliness: Powder coating uses a dry application process, eliminating the need for harmful solvents used in traditional paints. Wide variety of colors and finishes: Powder coatings come in a vast array of colors, allowing for a high degree of customization. This makes it suitable for both aesthetic and functional purposes in our design. Cost-effectiveness: While the initial setup cost for powder coating may be higher than traditional painting, the material waste is minimal, and the durability of the finish translates to lower long-term maintenance costs. Efficiency: The application process of powder coating is efficient, with minimal overspray and a single coat often being sufficient. This translates to faster production times and lower labor costs. Some colors are known to help children fall asleep, while others are known to attract children's attention. Accordingly in our design, we create a balance by choosing grey tones and yellow as a pop color. CHALLENGE: Help children develop their sense of independence and exploration in a safe room environment by creating with E0 certified healthy materials and does not contain any carcinogenic substances.
