| DESIGN NAME: Atrack PRIMARY FUNCTION: Locator for Integrated Rescue System INSPIRATION: Integrated Rescue System - Life and Survival. It is important to realize that there are situations in life where without an Integrated Rescue System such as Firefighters, Emergency Medical Services, Police, etc., survival is not possible. These products/items are often overshadowed in design by commerce. Use for example - search operations for lost individuals in rough terrain, use during natural disasters, coordination of rescue units in inaccessible terrain, air accidents, etc. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Atrack tracking locator. Its primary used for the Integrated Rescue System, the Mountain Rescue and the military. It is an independent tracking system that does not require GSM signal coverage or a dedicated radio network. The system has high sensitivity. Positional deviation is (+- 1m) and fast recovery of positional data. The design and construction are adapted specifically for use where rough and demanding handling is involved, mostly with gloves, in adverse climatic and natural conditions. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Atrack has only one massive, protruding button made of noble metal. When the button is pressed, it connects to the tracking localization system - minimal positional deviation (+- 1m) and quick position data recovery. Operation even with gloves.The button also serves as a sort of menu, depending on the length of the press. Other functions can be checked on a small LCD display on the side. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Everything is manufactured using engineering technology. The body of Atrack is made of colored nylon and chemically treated. Non-slip surface. The top and bottom covers are made of aluminum with surface treatment. The inner part is equipped with hardware and software components and a battery. No glue is used here, but screws are provided due to possible hardware and software, technical changes inside the body. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 95 mm x 33 mm x 69 mm TAGS: Integrated rescue system, in gloves, simplicity, rough and demanding handling, aesthetic and functional RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Products/items for the Integrated Rescue System (police, firefighters, emergency medical services, etc., which sometimes have a significance for life and survival, are overshadowed by commerce. They are merely constructed without much aesthetic subtext. CHALLENGE: The difficult part of the project was harmonizing specific internal hardware with an exterior that must suit the Integrated Rescue System. Here, the designer becomes a technician. Developing a design appearance that must be functional for hardware and software.
