PRIMARY FUNCTION: Branding And Packaging
INSPIRATION: Connecting with plants is proven to give us the feeling of calming connection. Aiming to raise awareness to the richness of the native plants used in the drinks, the branding concept was named as "Effortless Wisdom" and incorporated native style illustrations, celebrating the plants. The flavor illustrations are inspired by Indigenous Dakota art which always incorporates geometric and symmetric shapes.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Heti means "Home" in the Dakota language and these beverages are lovingly designed to taste like the flavors of home. The seltzer drinks are created to give a sense of place by celebrating the plants around us. It's a social impact brand at the same time. A percentage of revenues is going to drive wealth, security and health into tribal communities. Infused with flavors indigenous to North America, Heti aims to remind that indigenous culture is so rich, wise and healing.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The design thinking method of Diverge and Converge was used. All design was realized digitally as vector based assets with Adobe Creative Suite and the cans were produced by 4 color printing technique.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: In the research phase, the focus was the characteristics of the Dakota indigenous art and illustrations.
CHALLENGE: The design challenge was balancing the modernity with tradition. Central to the design ethos are the symmetrical monochrome illustrations that grace the packaging, embodying the essence and spirit of indigenous cultures. These illustrations, while paying homage to the timeless beauty of indigenous artistry, are meticulously crafted to balance modernity with tradition.
