DESIGN NAME: Satine Fresh Milk
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Interactive Packaging
INSPIRATION: The shape of the packaging is based on the shape of a milk can, which reinforces the product attributes of fresh milk. The design is based on a dragon head surrounded by New Year elements such as auspicious clouds and flowers, symbolizing the beauty and good fortune of the New Year. The whole packaging adopts the hollowing process, inspired by the traditional window art form, which is festive, delicate and elegant.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: New Year is the most important holiday in China and many brands celebrate it with limited edition packaging to bring them closer to consumers. Unlike other limited edition packaging designs that only feature graphics on the packaging, Limited edition packaging for Satine fresh milk incorporates sustainability and interactivity into the package design for broadening the innovative dimension of limited edition packaging design.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: After using the product, consumers (4-10 year-old children) can use the packaging as a “New Year's lucky bag” for collecting red envelopes or storing candies (storage function), It can also be a night light to accompany consumers to sleep (companion function), as well as a lantern to take part in the “Guess the Lantern Riddle” activity of the Lantern Festival (interactive function). Packaging is participating in different New year's activities in different scenarios with consumers and it is becoming part of the consumer's emotional memory of the New Year.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in October 2023 in Shen Zhen and finished in December 2023 in Shen Zhen.
