INSPIRATION:
Drawing inspiration from traditional temple festivals in Taiwan, transform the conventional image of festive culture. design team seek to blend modern textile technology with traditional celebration elements, incorporating dance, martial arts, models, and traditional performers to create a new celebration culture.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
"Fashionable Deity Tribute Gala" revolutionizes traditional celebratory events by using modern textile techniques and fashion styling to create Taiwan's modern deities (such as Guan Gong, Matsu, Guanyin, etc.). In front of temples, Integrating Traditional Culture with Fashion Design in a Fashion Show, where traditional deities walk the runway alongside modern dancers, ballet performers, martial artists, and models, establishing a new culture of deity tribute.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
The 2023 Daxidaxi Fashionable Deity Tribute Gala is an interactive celebration of traditional folk and contemporary design in festival culture. It not only preserves the essence of traditional celebratory activities but also provides a new and enchanting viewing experience, resonating with both participants and audiences. This new celebration program bridges the past and present, receiving acclaim from many traditional folk art teams, who are eager to actively participate since its debut.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The event starts in mid July and finishes in mid August each was held in 2023 in Daxi, Taiwan.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
Through collaboration with multiple designers and textile factories, we aim to recreate and new traditional costumes while incorporating fashion show direction into traditional folk performances. This initiative seeks to elevate the styling and attire in celebratory events by customizing traditional deity costumes. By enhancing the richness and cultural significance of traditional celebratory activities, we aspire to deepen the understanding and connection of the younger generation with religious events. Craft a celebratory aesthetic banquet that transcends different forms of performances.

SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES:
Using light projection technology and illumination to outline the contours of the temple, gather dance troupes, fashion models, and traditional folk art teams to create an immersive outdoor theater for the celebratory culture of deity tribute.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
Preserving and promoting Lord Guan's birthday celebration, known as the "second Chinese New Year for Daxi," is a significant responsibility to uphold the local cultural heritage. Encourage the active participation of local community members in the planning and execution of the celebration. Collaborate with artists, designers, and performers to infuse creativity and modern elements into the event without compromising its traditional essence.

CHALLENGE:
To attract audiences of different age groups and introduce them to traditional celebratory events, we have fostered collaboration between performers from various fields (folk art, contemporary dance, ballet, traditional martial arts, models) and designers (craftsmen, embroidery artists, fashion designers, textile factories). Our efforts are focused on creating a connection between traditional folk celebrations and contemporary cultural art. We aim to integrate techniques from different domains through effective communication and coordination, presenting a contemporary celebration culture feast.

Completed on March 28, 2015, the DAXI WOOD ART ECOMUSEUM was born based on the preservation of cultural assets combined with the local community. Today, the wood industry, historic monuments, buildings, and folk customs are all unique features of Daxi. It is the mission of the museum to continue preserving. recording, and promoting the culture of Daxi's wood industry and people's living, making Daxi a museum without walls.
