DESIGN NAME: Stone
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Upright Vacuum Cleaner
INSPIRATION: By considering the Fakir Hausgerate brand identity,Stone is designed as the sub-segment of the vacuum cleaner family. It is inspired by the brand's main product, Bolt. Reducing the number of pieces and using plastic parts as masterbatch, make the product more affordable. Stone design with Bolt lines still looks as aggressive and powerful as Bolt.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: It is no longer possible for us to imagine the giant vacuum cleaners we are used to in shrinking houses. It's a changing era in the vacuum cleaner. Now is the age of upright vacuum cleaners and Stone is a striking example in this field. Its ergonomic grip and panel will provide ease of use and will help you easily clean your home.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This design creatively reimagines their visual elements and messaging to align with their design ethos. They leverage cost-effective strategies and materials to maintain quality while optimizing expenses. Their goal is to enhance brand perception and market competitiveness without compromising financial sustainability.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: In this project aimed at supporting local manufacturing capabilities, the entire production takes place in Turkey. Designed to be compatible with domestically produced batteries and battery management systems.

By reducing component count and utilizing masterbatch for plastic parts, Stone achieves a more budget-friendly price point while retaining the bold and powerful aesthetics reminiscent of Bolt.
CHALLENGE: In this project aimed at supporting local manufacturing capabilities, there are creative and research challenges to address. Designing for compatibility with domestically produced batteries and battery management systems requires innovative solutions, along with overcoming obstacles related to supply chain and technology transfer. These challenges are being tackled to ensure efficient utilization of local resources.
