| DESIGN NAME: Nizo Z PRIMARY FUNCTION: Vlog Camera Combo INSPIRATION: The Nizo Z camera combo draws inspiration from the principles of functional and retro design. Paying homage to the blend of simplicity and modern technology. With minimalist aesthetics, intuitive assembly, and magnetic components, the design prioritizes ease of use while incorporating advanced technological features. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Nizo Z is engineered to assist content creators effectively. It comprises an editing base, a fill-in light, a microphone, and a camera body, all designed to magnetically connect for hassle-free charging and data transfer. The combo addresses key vlogger challenges such as live streaming with AI face tracking, stabilization through its ergonomic design, and enhanced audio-visual quality, ensuring a high quality vlogging experience. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Its pieces magnetically snap together, allowing for quick setup and pack-down. The handheld design ensures smooth filming with built-in stabilization, while the AI tracks faces flawlessly during live streams. Lights and microphones are instantly ready for action, enhancing the visual and audio quality of any content. This user-friendly system simplifies the vlogging process, making high-quality production accessible to all. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: A student project at Art Center College Of Design from September to December 2023 |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Retro, and the all-black aluminum body achieves a balance in durability, weight, and heat dissipation. CHALLENGE: The main challenge was integrating minimalist ethos with modern vlogging needs within manufacturing and tech limits.
