Sustainable is everything that is compatible with the need to safeguard environmental resources and quality of life.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Schalcon revolutionises the contact lens industry with the environmentally friendly pack design of Sky Soft plus. Soft Flat Pack sets a new standard for sustainability, reducing packaging thickness by 90% and material use by 80%. A key step in reducing environmental impact by eliminating plastic from the outer packaging and incorporating recycled material from production waste. Schalcon proves that design can be contemporary and sustainable, for a better future.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
This innovative contact lens package is designed for user-friendly simplicity. Easy to open, it reduces waste and environmental impact. The lenses are housed in a recycled blister, promoting sustainability. The eco-friendly graphic printing is clear and engaging. The transformation of the packaging has made an environmentally conscious product more accessible, enhancing the overall user experience.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started in September 2023 and finished in November 2023 in Rome, and was exhibited in Mido Fair in Milan in February 2024.

The thickness of the packaging was reduced by 90% compared to before;

graphics are printed using only inks free of polluting heavy metals.
