DESIGN NAME: Hyatt Centric Gaoxin Xi'an Mural
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Art
INSPIRATION: The first section of the mural, resembling an abstract dragon head, draws inspiration from an engine. The second segment showcases three dynamic horses inspired by the terracotta army horse, jade horse, and horse stone carving in Xi’an, symbolizing the three dynasties (Qin, Han, Tang) that established their capital in Xi’an. The strokes within the circles are not arbitrary; they are derived from the cursive script of calligraphy master Zhang Xu during the Tang dynasty. This artwork illuminates the entire architecture designed by Japanese architect Kuma Kengo, embodying the essence of the Hyatt Centric brand: "To explore."
