| DESIGN NAME: Simplee Trike PRIMARY FUNCTION: Electric Cargo Scooter INSPIRATION: Overall design of Simple scooter is characterized by very simple geometrical lines and volumes which are inspired by the naturally elegant, recognizable silhouette of a galloping horse. Also, unusual styling is a mix of mechanical features and aesthetic elements of modern bicycles and light motorcycles (scooters). Aerodynamic shape of the boomerang is applied into dynamically stylized front-wheel aluminum rims. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Simplee is light electric three-wheeled scooter (trike) and it is designed to transport two persons with additional cargo space in the main body. The uniqueness of this design is the innovative construction of the supporting inner frame, which has a large cavity implemented in it, which frees up a large space for luggage (bags, backpacks, suitcases, smaller packages etc.). Luggage is secured with elastic straps and hooks for hanging. This space accommodates more luggage than standard scooters OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: For those riders (drivers) who can't ride classic two-wheeled scooters, for better stability of the trike, there are 2 larger front wheels, with a pair of shock absorbers on the reinforced front fork. Unique rear rimless-wheel with a large joint-mechanism has a function of the rear shock-absorber. People can rent it in the fleet of public tourism companies through a smartphone application. It has a built-in voice Ai translator that also has the ability to translate any commands. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The internal structure of the frame is made of light metals. The surface on which the luggage is placed is made of non-slip rubberized material. Stainless steel and aluminum is used for mechanical kinetic elements where high strength and resistance to shock and moisture are required. The exterior body parts and minor parts are made from new and recycled plastics. Info displays are made of reinforced and waterprof Oled (Organic Led) touch screen. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Length 2300 mm, width 450 mm, height 900 mm. Simplee is very agile and nimble in tight urban spaces. It can be charged at home or at public electric chargers. All commands and information important for participating in traffic are located in front of the driver on the waterproof Oled touch-screen Info-data display. Rear view camera, altitude, air pressure, weather forecast, air pollution. Current driving speed, battery charge level. Automatic Ai language translator and GPS navigation. TAGS: Sustainable transport, Zero emissions, Shared mobility, Electric scooter, Three-wheeler, Trike, Cargo, Artificial intelligence RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Sustainable transport through Shared Mobility can play a key role in reducing emissions and congestion. By sharing different modes of transportation (e-cars, e-scooters, bikes) we can avoid that owned vehicles are idle for most of the day and optimize the use of vehicles. Through this concept, people do not own the vehicle, but pay per use. This has already started to change our habits, especially in urban areas. This type of mobility could also reduce the occupancy of parking spaces in cities CHALLENGE: Finding a good balance between the primary function of transporting two people and a very minimalist and geometric styling. Combine the innovative approach of carrying additional luggage into the compact dimensions of a city trike scooter. NAME: Marko Lukovic PROFILE: Marko Lukovic (Doctor of Arts) is an industrial and automotive designer from Belgrade, Serbia. He has over 20 years of experience and work in the top industry. He is the winner of 25 international and domestic design awards. Marko is passionate about developing original and functional design solutions that can help people in everyday life. He is successfully engaged in product and vehicle design, graphic design and packaging design. The most important awarded realized vehicles are: the futuristic car Peugeot Moonster, World premiere was at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2001. The winning Italian solar racing car Emilia 4 for the Onda Solare team (University of Bologna), presented at the Ferrari Museum in 2018. Redesign of truck for Iveco-Zastava and new interior for Zastava Automobiles (now Fiat Serbia). Important realized products are: Leaf solar street lamp, SkyCleaner air purifier, X-Ray medical device, PlasmaJet machine, 3D scanner for motion capture etc. Marko was a key-note speaker at over 30 international professional conferences. He exhibited at over 120 individual and mixed exhibitions in Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, USA, Japan, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, etc. Since 2002, Marko Lukovic also works as a Professor at the University of Arts in Belgrade, (Faculty of Applied Arts, Department of Industrial Design). He has over 250 presentations of his design projects in international encyclopedias, textbooks, magazines, internet and TV shows. Marko Lukovic is the winner of A' Design Award 2023. |
