INSPIRATION: This Font family’s inspiration was to create a sophisticated design system that follows classical serif fonts in a contemporary visual language to create a lasting and memorable impression through thoughtful typographic elegance and style.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Hucks Serif is a contemporary serif-type family, presenting a seamless integration of large open counters and gracefully curved and rounded forms, resulting in a glyph set that breathes a modern and elegant typographic aesthetic. The deliberate contrast between thick and thin strokes bestows Hucks Serif a harmonious and stylish appearance. Hucks Serif’s design is meticulously crafted, a dedication to infusing letterforms with an inherent elegance that elevates the font to a distinctive style.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The font family was launched as a retail font worldwide and used by international design firms.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The font family was started in July 2023 and commercialized in November 2023

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Glyphs was used to create the Font family. The Type specimen book was printed as a limited run in offset digital, five color, outer box debossed.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Our research began with the studying of classical forms that could be expanded and adapted into new forms and shapes, with a highly contemporay feel.
CHALLENGE: The major challenge was creating a through-weight font family that was versatile and adaptable, transcending the boundaries of traditional and digital applications and creating a contemporary visual language.
