DESIGN NAME: Slide Roller Pro
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Multifunctional Fitness
INSPIRATION: As a result of the sports restrictions that arose during the pandemic, there were a series of limitations for carrying out sports activities in gyms, prioritizing exercise at home. Taking into account the specificity of different home sports equipment, I decided to create a unique element that would integrate the functional characteristics of the different devices to expand the possibilities of exercise at home. The goal was to create a device that combined aesthetics and functionality.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Slide Roller Pro is an "all in one" patented device whose main advantage is the ability to replace up to 15 fitness devices. Its multifunctionality allows body development, injury rehabilitation, muscle recovery and improved flexibility.
Its innovative multi-grip design favors the user's ergonomics and offers up to 20 different grip possibilities, greatly expanding the exercise capacity and facilitating its use. Multifunctional, ergonomic, portable, easily storable device adapted for all ages.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The use of the Slide Roller Pro allows for better overall body development, achieving greater activation of muscle groups, improved flexibility and muscle recovery. In addition, its special design minimizes and prevents the risk of injury, allowing their rehabilitation.
Its design favors the performance of countless exercises, adapting to all types of users from beginners to advanced. It is a perfect complement for different fitness disciplines (Hiit, Bodybalance, Yoga, etc.).
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project began in April 2020 and the prototype came into my hands in February 2021. The first prototype worked perfectly and all this development work has been carried out in Bilbao (Spain). In 2023 it was exhibited at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, winning the gold medal.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The creation of the first sketch was manual in pencil and later we took it to 3D. Later the prototype was created and fortunately it worked perfectly, the materials chosen being safe and durable.

Upon realizing that there were great limitations at a functional level since most were simply limited to the body development of very specific muscles, I decided to create a multifunctional device that not only developed the body but also allowed the rehabilitation of injuries, improved flexibility and muscle recovery.
CHALLENGE: The main challenge of this project was to achieve a design and materials that managed to integrate the functional characteristics of numerous devices into a single element. The goal was to make the difficult easy combining aesthetics and functionality.
