| DESIGN NAME: Silia PRIMARY FUNCTION: Bathroom Fittings Collection INSPIRATION: The Silia collection draws inspiration from a fusion of minimalist design and a rich color palette. Its foundation lies in the classic tube, featuring flexible forms and soft contours. Silia surpasses conventional standards through modern design and innovative solutions. In developing the collection, the focus was not only on practicality but also on imparting a stylish, decorative accent to each fitting. The harmonious balance of form and function, along with a diverse range of colors, makes Silia a functional and versatile choice for contemporary spaces. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The designers of the Silia collection made sure that each model was intentionally designed for optimal comfort and usability. The upper part of the shower column is foldable and adopts an interesting and original shape. Despite the small shower head, the stream forms a cone and maintains optimal intensity. Other conveniences include: a handset holder integrated with the fixture body, a ceramic switch with a click-type function, and a Cool-out handset that remains cool to the touch. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The upper part of the shower column is foldable and takes on an interesting and original form. Despite the small shower head, the stream takes shape of a cone and has optimal intensity. Other conveniences include: a handset holder integrated with the battery body, a ceramic Click type function switch and a Cool-out handset that does not heat up. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in November 2021 in Zgierz and finished in March 2023 |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The production and implementation technology employed in creating the mixers for this project centers around casting technology. Crafted from stainless steel, the mixers are adorned with brushed colors achieved through an advanced PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating process, ensuring a durable and aesthetically pleasing finish. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Shower column - Diameter 42 mm;Bath mixer freestanding - Ceramic cartridge size 35 mm; Mixer spout range - 240 mm; Washbasin tap - Ceramic cartridge size 25 mm; Mixer spout range 185 mm TAGS: minimalist, modern, creative, practical, decorative, original, comfortable, intentionally designed RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The research commenced with the conceptualization of the Sila collection, focusing initially on the design of the shower column. The aim was to present a distinctive approach to shower design, emphasizing a departure from conventional norms. The overarching objective was to develop a comprehensive collection adaptable to diverse bathroom settings. The Sila collection caters specifically to individuals aged 35 and above, particularly those collaborating with architects in the meticulous furnishing of their bathrooms. The emphasis on versatility and collaboration underscores the collection's commitment to meeting the preferences of a discerning demographic. CHALLENGE: The creative challenges in developing the collection encompassed two key aspects. Firstly, addressing the larger size of the shower column, intentionally diverging from traditional dimensions. The exploration of production possibilities aimed at seamlessly integrating a larger tube with the mixer, striking a balance between an industrial aesthetic and universal appeal. Secondly, persuading users to adopt the smaller overhead shower size presented a distinct challenge. Overcoming size-related reservations necessitated a strategic approach, emphasizing unique benefits and design elements. ADDED DATE: 2023-11-29 09:43:12 TEAM MEMBERS (2) : Designer: Katarzyna Łogwinienko and Product Manager: Anna Słowińska - Owczarek IMAGE CREDITS: This large bathroom space has been carrefully divided into diffrent zones to create a harmonious anf functional environment. The entire loft-style bathroom design, which uses product from the Silia collection in a brushed steel finisz, creates a unique combination of modernity and austere industrial charakter. Minimalist lines, smooth cutves and the charakteristic pipe shape of the collection are a perfect complement to this interior, creating a unique atmosphere.
