PRIMARY FUNCTION: Wireless Microphone Equipment
INSPIRATION: As cordless microphone devices are commonly used for live outdoor streaming, recording videos, gatherings and other activities, the importance of portability and ease of use for cordless microphone device stands out. A more compact size, an all-in-one design with high degree of integration, and the cordless feature that the device offers are crucial factors.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Boyamic is a wireless microphone. It comprises a USB Type-C adapter, a Lightning adapter, a RX audio receiver and two TX audio transmitters. This product is designed as one piece ensuring that all essential accessories are conveniently stored in a compact case, without compromising its functional requirements. The mobile power source and wireless charging capabilities are integrated into the storage case. The internal base device can be charged by contacts, making the full link cordless.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: To enhance user-friendliness in scenarios where MICIN (wireless input) and LINEIN (microphone input) buttons are frequently used, a toggle switching design has been implemented. Additionally, the front side of the device case features prominent red and blue status indicators, giving users with immediate information about how the device is running.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project commenced in July 2022 in Shenzhen and is scheduled for completion in October 2023, also in Shenzhen. In September 2023, the products will be exhibited at the IBC exhibition in the Netherlands.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The storage case and the surfaces of the RX and TX devices are made of plastic material. The front side of the case features a glossy black oil-jetted finish, while the rest of the case has a matte black oil-jetted finish. The logo on the surface is silk-screened in white, while the key logos are subjected to a molded and polished process for a refined look.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The innovation in audio codec technology is also a crucial aspect. By utilizing efficient audio codec algorithms, it is possible to reduce the size of audio files without compromising on sound quality. This is particularly important for real-time sound transmission as it reduces the bandwidth requirements and minimizes data loss and latency.
CHALLENGE: Ensuring excellent cordless performance, while maintaining a compact product size, is the most challenging part. This presents a paradox as the product requires an enough internal space for the antenna to achieve a good performance. However, compressing the product volume may make the production difficult, as many functions need to be realized within a narrow assembly space. We try to design and develop products in component form, reducing assembly complexity and enhancing the yield rate.
