RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Many city dwellers look forward to relaxing in the natural beauty while travelling. Bed and breakfasts are increasingly popular in island regions, leading to a new trend in the holiday industry. However, with the growing competition in the market, travellers have higher expectations for the aesthetics and functionality of their holiday accommodations. Therefore, this project aims to explore how to create a unique, nature inspired interior and provide diverse activities of bed and breakfasts.
CHALLENGE: The design challenge was to strike a balance between aesthetics and functionality. The project focused on selecting suitable materials, lighting, and colours to create a comfortable and visually appealing experience. In addition to aesthetics, travellers nowadays seek a vacation home that provides functional areas such as restaurants, leisure areas, and parent n child activity zones. Therefore, the design aimed at creating flexible zoning to cater to the needs of diverse residents.
