DESIGN NAME: Rebud Healing Garden
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Branding Identity
INSPIRATION: As the pressures of modern life continue to rise, scientific studies reveal that nature plays a pivotal role in both health and recovery. Amidst the urban landscape, offering a botanical garden provides individuals with a more accessible way to connect with nature, escape from stress, and contribute to post-trauma healing.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: ReBud creates inclusive spaces that provide opportunities to connect with nature and cultivate positive values, such as mindfulness, compassion, and resilience. Through the healing garden, ReBud aims to inspire hope, support recovery, and foster a sense of belonging. ReBud offers a variety of therapeutic activities including yoga sessions, intimate musical performances, book club gatherings, and outdoor painting and sketching sessions.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: ReBud stands out not only for the diverse range of activities it offers within the botanical garden, but also for its commitment to environmental conservation and green living. The admission ticket serves a dual purpose beyond entry access – it features a daily random healing tip and can be reused as a coaster for beverages, promoting sustainability.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in New York in February 2023 and was completed in April 2023.
FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: ReBud derives its inspiration from the 're-' prefix and 'bud', symbolizing the potential for individuals to bloom once more – emerging afresh from the realms of stress and pain. ReBud's logo is designed around its three core values. At the center, a heart-shaped flower is gently held by two leaf-like palms. The main colors of soothing green and gentle off-white create a healing vibe for visitors.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The sizes vary based on their different uses.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The research primarily focuses on the branding identity of other botanical gardens and the utilization of sustainable materials.
CHALLENGE: A challenging aspect lies in establishing sustainability. Maximizing the impact of the peripheral products related to the botanical garden is a major concern during the design process. I aspire for items like tickets and promotional materials to serve more than just a singular purpose, inciting visitors to desire their preservation and repeated use.
