| DESIGN NAME: Bright Sky PRIMARY FUNCTION: Interior Lighting Design INSPIRATION: The site is an office. The design team based the lighting design on three advantages. Firstly, it is on a high floor, which provides sufficient light during the day. Secondly, it is near the river, which has a mirrored effect of waves on the river in the daytime. Thirdly, the space is open plan to the left and right, creating openness. The project is based on the concept of spatial dimension with the visual effects of day and night to create comfortable and perfect lighting. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Daytime: During the daytime, the interior is bright, so the design must think about the carrier of light. The lighting effect on different carriers is also distinct. The design team observed the relationship between the river and the floor. When the sun shines on the water, the dynamic effect of shimmering waves is a great visual expression. Night: Using various colors of light, the design team created a romantic atmosphere. Each artificial light is set according to the interior design, including the installation of light strips along the dome and the arrangement of light pieces inside the stone. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The soft lighting gives the space a gentle and warm atmosphere, creating a comfortable and pleasant feeling. At the same time, the focus of the light and the angle of illumination make every corner fully lighten, showing the details and layers in the space. During the day, every visitor can feel the unique charm of the change of light. Whether for work or leisure, the space reveals the highest quality of warmth and experience. In the evening, the screen and sound of the intelligent system provide another fascinating and comfortable experience. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project finished in Taiwan. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Artificial lighting is worth mentioning. In the case of the one-and-a-half-meter SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The site is a 198.3 square meter interior design office. The design team created the lighting design for the ceiling, open cabinetry, bar, and walls. RGB lighting is installed and integrated with a smart appliance system that allows the user to control all the lighting at the touch of a button. When the light shines on materials such as onyx semi-precious stones and Russian wallpaper, the color temperature, tone, and intensity can be freely changed according to the context, creating a breathing effect like an organic life, thus enhancing functionality and vibrancy. TAGS: Large sapce, RGB, classical style, river, mosaic, various materials, breathing light, smart appliances. RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Blended classical style and avant-garde elements to create a sophisticated and tasteful atmosphere in the office. The project is equipped with smart lighting, including the adjustment of the color temperature, brightness, and tone so that the lighting effect in each area has its characteristics. Fused neo-classical and avant-garde styles to visualize the ever-changing natural imagery in the interior. Take the mosaic art wall in neoclassical style as an example, and used the light frame to outline the details of the paintings in a restrained and subtle way. They put refinement into the lighting. CHALLENGE: The project is an interior design office serving staff and visitors. The challenge was to integrate a wide range of materials into the space and to present the material through lighting. The design team combined different luminaires and lighting-dimming techniques to achieve a subtle lighting effect. The aesthetics of classical design is not only about classic elements such as trims and symmetry but also about adding a variety of innovations.
