DESIGN NAME: Niferia
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Digital Art
INSPIRATION: The research of this Dark Witch character started by looking into the Korean culture once more, but this time I wanted to create something realistic, Asian with better character appeal and strong feelings and I wanted to make her dark, mysterious in real-time, and realistic.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Niferia a blind dark witch, was raised from death by the god of chaos Enix the most powerful of all gods, as for her mission she need to bring back Justine Velmont the god of darkness who was destroyed by the Angel of lights 6000 years ago.
If Velmont will rise the world of Linerma will be destroyed, but there is only one person who can stop her...
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Niferia is a dark witch that was locked by Visatra the goddess of light, with the help of Enix, Niferia was resurrected so she can rise Velmont the God of Darkness.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project starts in the heart of Tokyo in January 2022 and it's updated every two months with new character designs and story reveals.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Character production and all design were made in Blender, Zbrush, Marvelous Designer, and Substance Painter, but mostly each character production from modeling, texturing, shading, rigging, lighting, and cinematic using Blender only.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: They are many sizes for the artwork as also different cinematic shots. The main Artwork of Niferia is a portrait of size 2250X3000 pixel

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The research of this Dark Witch character started after completed Luna Lankastar and from there i wanted to develop more my skills and make something more appealing in character design as also clothes production, rigging and visual cinematics and for that I started to develop more my skills in Blender and learn many techniques and tools to create my own workflow that I could use it for others characters and because of that I start to see what things I am missing in my work and skills that I could developed further more and this where the idea came to create a realistic character design fantasy production with a new style and visual design as also to have a strong impact as final product and this is how I created Niferia.
CHALLENGE: When I start developing Niferia, it was very challenging at first to get the final visual I was looking for, I was focusing in my mind that I want to see a person and not only a CG character model, and the second challenge I wanted her to have an Asian look but very dark.
The Challenge I was facing was two main key points, the first one I was aiming to create real-time characters with high-quality texturing, and for that, I start to develop myself on how to use nodes and shaders in Blender once I understand the basics and logic of it then I start to take that knowledge I gain to a high new level, it was challenging and fun at the same time because I know with all the headaches and challenges I am going to achieve something I haven't done it yet and I can say when Niferia was made I was proud of my self to achieve such quality.
The beauty of art and design is like playing a video game, you need to continue and never give up and if something beat you, beat it harder that's my daily challenge as an Artist.
And not matter what challenge will come my way I will break it and break it harder.
