| DESIGN NAME: Reflex PRIMARY FUNCTION: Restaurant INSPIRATION: Indeed, Newton's law of motion applies to not just physical objects but also to human emotions and actions. Every action we take, every decision we make, and every thought we have has consequences, whether positive or negative. It is essential to understand that every action has an equal and opposite reaction and that our choices have far-reaching effects on our lives and the lives of those around us. When we work hard towards our goals, we experience a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. Similarly, when we take a break and indulge in activities that refresh our minds and souls, we feel rejuvenated and ready to face new challenges. Celebrating our achievements, no matter how small, is crucial to building self-confidence and maintaining a positive attitude. Our friends and family play a vital role in our lives, and sharing our success with them strengthens our relationships and brings joy to our lives. However, it is also important to remember that our actions can have consequences that we may not have intended. It is crucial to be mindful of our decisions and how they may impact those around us. By being aware of the potential outcomes of our actions, we can make more informed and responsible choices. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The design of the venue has been carefully thought out to create an atmosphere that is visually stunning and offers a unique experience for its customers. The aim of Reflex seems to be to provide an escape from the mundane routines of everyday life and to provide a space where customers can indulge in all their senses. The use of grand interiors, chandeliers, and large live screens creates an ambiance of grandeur and enchantment, which adds to the overall experience. The designers have also used the abundant available height to their advantage, creating a spacious environment that gives the customers a human scale. It is evident that the design of Reflex has been carefully planned and executed to ensure that customers leave with a feeling of satisfaction and delight. Overall, Reflex is a place that offers a high-end experience, designed to cater to those who are looking for an escape from their daily routines. The venue appears to be a place where customers can indulge in the best food and drinks, while being entertained by live performances in a breathtaking atmosphere. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The space has been thoughtfully designed to create a sense of depth and dimension, with two distinct levels that share a single volume. The entry to the lounge is a featured double-height area, designed to immediately capture the attention of anyone entering the space. The area is adorned with a magnificent chandelier, suspended from the ceiling, which adds an element of grandeur and elegance to the space. The chandelier is surrounded by a stunning red crystal installation, which creates a visually striking contrast against the neutral tones of the rest of the decor. Moving on to the lower level, it has been intentionally designed to feel more relaxed and informal, with a casual and laid-back ambiance. This area is perfect for lounging and socializing, with comfortable seating arrangements, soft lighting, and a welcoming atmosphere. The lower level is ideal for guests who want to unwind and take it easy, while still enjoying the vibrant energy of the space. The upper level, on the other hand, is a more cozy and intimate space that exudes warmth and comfort. The ambiance is complemented by the beautiful green crystal fixtures that adorn the area, adding an element of tranquility and serenity. The upper level is perfect for guests who want to enjoy a more intimate experience, away from the hustle and bustle of the lower level. The two levels are connected through a central open atrium, which creates a beautiful visual connection between the two spaces. The atrium provides an unobstructed view of the lower level and the stage area, which is perfect for guests who want to enjoy the live performances that take place in the lounge. Overall, the space has been thoughtfully designed to create a unique and memorable experience for guests, with a perfect balance between grandeur and comfort. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: - SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Reflex is spread around an area of 8000 sq.ft. and in both the upper and the lower level TAGS: Restaurant, Gurgaon, Golf course road, pub, lounge, bar RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: Designing a space with a large height volume always poses a challenge. The design needs to create an awe-inspiring feel of high ceilings, while still providing a comfortable space that feels appealing to the human scale. Achieving this balance requires careful consideration of various factors, such as the room's proportions, lighting, and materials used. The design needs to create a sense of grandeur and spaciousness, while still maintaining a sense of intimacy and warmth. The key to successfully designing a large height space is to create a harmonious relationship between the space and its occupants. This can be achieved by incorporating elements that draw the eye upward, such as tall windows, light fixtures, or vertical patterns in the design. At the same time, it is essential to ensure that the space does not feel overwhelming or cavernous. The use of warm materials, textures, and colors can help to create a sense of intimacy and comfort, making the space feel more inviting and welcoming. Overall, the challenge of designing a large height space lies in finding the right balance between grandeur and comfort. When done correctly, such spaces can create a sense of awe and wonder, while still providing a cozy and appealing environment for its users.
