| DESIGN NAME: Megabox Morris Furniture PRIMARY FUNCTION: Retail Shop Design INSPIRATION: The shop is wide and curved, our design team has thought of the space where customers may like to walk around to look for the products. however, sometime customers would like to see bigger and feel or touch of the material that the shop provides. therefore we want to enlarge the touch and sense for customers to see and feel easier. therefore we have designed a big sample palette on the wall. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The design are aimed to have a variation of different angles of perspective where customers who enter the shop could have an easy round trip to inspect different of soda products. Whereas we have designed a big leather sample of palette for customers to touch and feel. This feature wall is placed in the middle of the shop background, where customers able to see the leather on any angle. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Project started in Sept 2022 in Hong Kong and the shop was launched at the end of oct 2022. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: We have use real wood skin to build the partitions, and real leather for the feature wall. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: the feature wall size is 6500(width)mmx1500mm TAGS: sustainable, feature wall, real leather, colour gradient. RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: The hardest part of the design is to use very limited time to build sustainable design. First we need to apply cement tiles on the floor, secondly we have to pre order decorative furnitures before we start our installations. lastly, we have to work at nights to prevent creating noise to others while the shopping mall is still open. NAME: Morris Furniture Flagship PROFILE: Our client has started to build up their business in Hong Kong, it is their first flagship store in Hong Kong. Our aim is targeting younger customers to buy their sofa products to make refreshment for new customers. Our design is trying to catch young age eyes to let them know sofa can be simple and comfortable. Our company design team is aimed high quality and creating elegant with simple colour. he design are aimed to have a variation of different angles of perspective where customers who enter the shop could have an easy round trip to inspect different of soda products. Whereas we have designed a big leather sample of palette for customers to touch and feel. |
