| DESIGN NAME: Casa Desi PRIMARY FUNCTION: Private Home INSPIRATION: The design brief got us excited at the word go with request to house the Raja Ravi Vermas in an Indian setting with a modern appeal. This was our kind of India Modern which was carefully studied thru their existing curios and art collection. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The clients procured this Jodi flat as referred in Mumbai real estate market, which overlooked the central landscape and recreational zone of the complex of this posh South Mumbai development. The design brief got us excited at the word go with request to house the Raja Ravi Vermas in an Indian setting with a modern appeal. This was our kind of India Modern which was carefully studied thru their existing curios and art collection. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The bathrooms in both apartments started first to ensure zero loss of time. which eventually graduated into meeting at a point where breaking a wall made a huge difference into the structure. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The site was two seperate apartments when we started work and we slowly and steadily amalgamated the site to look more like one single apartment bound by design and materials. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The apartment measures about 200 Sq Mts. And it located on 12th floor of a large residential complex in Mumbai. TAGS: HOMESBYZERO9, CASADESI, ZERO9, PRASHANT CHAUHAN, ANU CHAUHAN, MUMBAI HOMES, ZERO9 HOMES, HOMES BY ZERO9 RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The client profile, their family lifestyle and their art and collectibles collection was carefully studied to understand their taste and preferences. This led us to evolve a better design and material pallet. CHALLENGE: The Project was to be carefully studied and observed, all the aceessories and artefacts were carefully understood to make up the final space with everything included in right space.
