| DESIGN NAME: River 2 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Outdoor Power Supply INSPIRATION: The COVID-19 pandemic has sparked a growing global enthusiasm for outdoor activities and sports such as hiking, camping and road-tripping. The EcoFlow River 2 is designed to be the perfect grab-and-go solution for portable power on adventures and day trips. Extremely portable and lightweight, River 2 is built to ensure hours’ worth of power supply for key appliances during outdoor adventures. With industry-leading fast charging capability, it supports last-minute adventures and impromptu gatherings while also supporting solar charging for sustainable outdoor activities. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Extreme portability and affordability with solar charging enable as many consumers as possible to access reliable and renewable power on all of life’s adventures. River 2 is equipped with advanced LFP batteries which have a lifespan of 3000+ cycles, six times longer than the industry average. Featuring BMS protection to monitor, analyze, and adjust the device’s voltage, current, and temperature in real time, River 2 offers comprehensive safety and adaptability when charging and using the product. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The COVID-19 pandemic changed the way people interact with the outside world, many are now choosing outdoor activities over indoor entertainment. The River 2 was designed for those looking to discover the outdoors, supporting exploration of the natural world without sacrificing indoor comforts. However, given the ongoing energy crisis, the product has had a deeper impact, serving as an alternative source of energy or a back-up for potential black outs as seen by our Ukrainian users. The affordable River 2 series range ensures renewable energy is no longer a luxury, but an easily accessible resource. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The product was developed in Shenzhen, China over 1.5 years. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: With over 3,000+ battery 100% cycles, the LFP battery just does not offer long enough life to serve a worthwhile purpose. It's more reliable, efficient and safe even in high temperatures. The device features an AC outlet for ultra-fast 1-hour charging, charge on-the-go with car charging, and go off-grid or green with fast solar charging as well as an all-new charging option, USB-C. The River 2 also features 30ms switch-over speed making it easy to prepare your appliances for unexpected outages.
