DESIGN NAME: Lamps Collection
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Concept Design
INSPIRATION: My inspiration has to do with contemporary abstract sculptures by artists such as Jean Arp and Ernesto Neto.
I am also very inspired by western art, especially Japanese design and its cult of the imperfection of forms to give warmth to the environment.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This personal collection of lamps presents an innovative proposal in relation to the conception of lighting objects, which in addition to fulfilling their primary purpose also have a strong sculptural charge that gives them an artistic function and makes them unique.
The floor lamp is influenced by kinetic art, so through its articulated and flexible structure the user can direct the light at will.
The nightstand lamp resembles a bitten apple in shape, playing here with the metaphor of light as a source of creativity so that the user can feel inspired to use it as a study and reading lamp.
The characteristic feature of this collection is the sensuality of the "stretching" of its curved shapes, either concave or convex, generating tensions that give dynamism and innovative value to the pieces.
Regarding materiality, a sensitive proposal has been sought from the use of translucent materials that let light pass through in a diffuse way, which gives the collection a more veiled and mysterious atmosphere.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: These lamps are designed to be used in an intuitive way, since they have tactile devices that according to the type of pressure exerted by the user can regulate the intensity and directionality of the light.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This project has been exhibited from August to December 2022 in different fairs, art and design spaces in Buenos Aires.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The research has been very active in evaluating the type of products currently on the market and in finding out a lot about the technical possibilities offered by new technologies and trends in the field of design, such as 3D printing and LED lighting.
It has also made an analysis of the needs of users who are looking for user-friendly products, intuitive to use and with beautiful shapes.
We have also taken into account the impact that these products have on the environment, that's why we have chosen LED lighting in terms of lower energy consumption and therefore less environmental impact.
The material for the 3D printing is recycled to be consistent with this ecological idea.

CHALLENGE: The most challenging factor for this project is to find the right balance between conceptual ideas and technical realization possibilities.
We have always tried to keep as much as possible the strength of the forms of the conceptual design and to bring it to the physical plane as faithfully as possible.
What was always a priority was to maintain the minimalist, sophisticated and elegant essence of this collection of contemporary lamps.
