PRIMARY FUNCTION: Schoolbag
INSPIRATION: The core decompression design, a patented double helical spring structure, is inspired by the shock absorption system of sports cars. As the sliding block is raised and lowered by the weight of the school bag, the upper and lower springs stretch to adjust the load, reducing the pressure on shoulders and spine, thus achieving weight decompression.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is a schoolbag specially designed to protect spine health of kids. With a patented helical spring structure, it can balance and reduce the pressure on both shoulders. Combined with ergonomic shoulder straps, multi-layer back cushioning modules and other designs, the product effectively decreases the pressure on the spine of children and provides a comfortable carrying feeling. In addition, weight visualization, reflective strips and other details further improve comfort and ensure safety.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: 1.Weight visualization to keep track of the load inside the school bag.
2.3D back panel reduces the pressure of the schoolbag on the spine and enhances the comfort of carrying.
3.Webbing with a scale allows accurate adjustment to ensure shoulder straps are on the same level.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The product started its design and development in Xiamen, Fujian province in 2022 and is expected to launch in China in January 2023.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: As a schoolbag designed for kids, the product comes with various color options to fill the aesthetic needs of children of different genders and ages. With an ergonomic design, it enjoys exceptional comfort of carrying and great freedom of movement, and provides school kids with a suitable carrying system that effectively reduces the heavy load on them. In addition, the skin-friendly, eco-friendly fabrics are safe for kids and the environment.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: According to statistics, the proportion of children with spine problems has exceeded 68 percent nationwide in recent years. Defective schoolbag structure, excessive weight, etc are some of the important factors contributing to this. In this connection, the product focuses on spine health of children, and achieves weight balance and decompression on the shoulders through its innovative, mimetic structure, thus lowering the pressure on the spine to ensure healthy growth of children.
CHALLENGE: Different from similar products that transfer or disperse load, the patented helical spring structure can reduce weight from the source via the mutual conversion of gravitational and elastic potential energy during movement, achieving a pressure gap of less than 0.02PA between the shoulders, up to 28 percent less pressure during walking and 62 percent during running. Thus, it can prevent bad body postures caused by excessive or uneven pressure on the spine and enhancing the comfort of carrying.
