PRIMARY FUNCTION: Schoolbag
INSPIRATION: Inspired by the fins of a flying fish which are used to disperse gravity when gliding in the air and maintain balance in water, the designers create a 720 degrees dual wraparound system that can distribute and reduce pressure via the counteraction of gravitational and elastic potential energy.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A schoolbag designed to protect the spine of kids, it features an innovative 9 point load distribution design and a patented helical spring structure that enable pressure dispersion and reduction through the counteraction of gravitational elastic potential energy. With specially segmented areas, it achieves all round reduction of load on the spine and offers a comfortable carrying experience. Other designs such as weight visualization and reflective strips further improve comfort and safety.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: 1.Weight visualization to keep track of the load inside the school bag.
2.Patented carry handle disperses the load and makes it easier to carry.
3.Webbing with a scale allows accurate adjustment to ensure shoulder straps are on the same level. 25mm ultra thick Sshaped rebound shoulder straps reduce pressure and improve back comfort.
4.Reflective stickers ensure safety at night.
Multiple layers of elastic bands to partition internal space for better storage and stability.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The product started its design and development in Xiamen, Fujian province in 2022 and is expected to launch in China in July 2023.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: As a schoolbag designed for kids, the product comes with a variety of color options to fill the aesthetic needs of children of different genders and ages. With an ergonomic design, it enjoys exceptional comfort of carrying and great freedom of movement, and provides school kids with a suitable carrying system that effectively reduces the heavy load on them. In addition, the skin friendly, eco-friendly fabrics are safe for kids and the environment.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: According to statistics, the proportion of children with spine problems has exceeded 68 percent nationwide in recent years. Defective schoolbag structure, excessive weight, etc are some of the important factors contributing to this. In this connection, the product focuses on spine health of kids , and achieves balance and reduction of the pressure on the shoulders of users through its innovative, mimetic structure, thus lowering the pressure on the spine to ensure healthy growth of children.
CHALLENGE: The 720 degrees dual wraparound system enables weight distribution and reduces pressure via the counteraction of gravitational and elastic potential energy. 1. Patented helical spring structure inspired by the shock absorption system of sports cars enables conversion of gravitational and elastic potential energy during movement and automatically adjusts the weight. 2. Ergonomic 9 point load distribution system reduces pressure through the waist and back pads, and offers a comfortable feeling.
