| DESIGN NAME: The Ray PRIMARY FUNCTION: Brooch INSPIRATION: The inspiration of the brooch comes from the ray of sunlight appearing through the clouds on a cloudy day. The luster of the pearls gives and extra soft glow and the sparkle of the diamonds stands out like a ray of sunlight next to dark metal and black diamonds. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The base color of the brooch is dark since it's using black rhodium plated metal and a black diamond, but mixing with a bright gemstones brightens up the entire piece. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was designed and completed in June 2022 in Milan, Italy |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The brooch was created in 3D model. The body for the baguette diamonds and the SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Brooch: 50 x 30 x 17(mm) TAGS: Creative, Jewelry, CAD, Ray, Pearl, Diamonds RESEARCH ABSTRACT: My research began first by observing the cloudy day and capture the moment of the ray that comes out from the cloud. After I understood the shape and movement of the light, I then researched how to incorporate and design a piece that is fine, and balanced. I researched everything using online resources. CHALLENGE: The most challenging part of this piece was transforming the dark image into bright object, still containing the dark element.
