| DESIGN NAME: Meta Cell PRIMARY FUNCTION: Pool Table INSPIRATION: The Meta Cell is a pool table inspired by the aliens and exploring the mysterious and curious signs of them that have been left on our planet. The concept is about a story in that aliens change their shapes into weird forms to hide from being seen by humans. This project is designed to encourage the sense of thinking and reasoning and not simply disregard the events and the world around. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The piece can live in any different environment due to its design and soft silhouettes. It has been made with fiber-reinforced plastic with raw material to give it higher stability and, the top surface has a glazed finish to make it easy to clean and preserve its genuine beauty forever. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The futuristic form of the legs has been designed not only for aesthetics and reaching the function ideally but also to complete its concept. Also, It makes an emotional connection between the users and the creatures of other planets by its design. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The Project has been designed in Tehran in 2022. Obviously, there are many ideas behind each design, which is no different. Many sketches have been done to simplify the complicated forms besides protecting its futuristic style and making an emotional connection between the project and the users by design. Furthermore, research has been done to explore the different signs of the creatures from the space on our planet and how to transfer the signs to the shape of furniture. CHALLENGE: The main challenge was to meet the market demand for a piece of futuristic furniture in various forms of protective symbols, transforming the alien's shapes into the pieces with stimulating curiosity, joining performance and aesthetics beside emotional connection between the object, aliens, and the users.
