| DESIGN NAME: Cobrey C45 Fly PRIMARY FUNCTION: Motor Yacht INSPIRATION: The inspiration for this boat is the result of a research whose goal is to create an integration between sports car design and nautical design, to create a product that stands out for its lines, making it capable of capturing the public's attention creating that feeling of excitement when you see a sports car. The distinctive style and architectural language of Alessandro Inno are clearly visible in the interior design, which plays with volumes by superimposing, removing and adding. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Cobrey 45 Fly combines space optimization and high livability on board. In fact, the research focuses on the study of a layout capable of transforming itself with the use of 2 or 3 cabins to have more beds or more space, without renouncing the comfort of walking with maximum height. It is also equipped with spacious bathrooms with separate shower cubicles. The sporty design exteriors can be customized with the Hard Top or Fly version. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The drive control is managed by the joystick, an intuitive system that allows you to maneuver the boat very easily in any situation. The automated interceptors optimize the set-up at all speeds to maintain ideal hydrodynamics for performance and efficiency, while canceling any imbalance caused by wind or weight distribution, ensuring an easier and more enjoyable driving experience. There is an integrated on-board control and monitoring system accessible both on board and remotely whit the App. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The duration of the project was one year. All the design processes were carried out in Rome at the Ino Group Design studio. The molds and construction of the motor yachts were made in Poland. The boat has been exhibited at nautical exhibitions of Wind and Water Boat Show 2022, Boot Dusseldorf 2022, Toronto boat show 2022, Cannes yachting festival 2022. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The infusion together with the C glass and carbon materials are the construction system used to obtain a light, resistant and imperfection-free product. The carbon fiber allows the boat to keep the center of gravity low, lightening the laminated components by 30% and reducing body roll by up to 15%. This boat is optimized using fluid dynamics studies for both traditional shaft line and stern drive propulsion, thus obtained a 30% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions at cruising speed. The points of analysis are dimensions, n. of cabins and bathrooms, galley, flybridge. The data collected from fairs and websites say that a 14 m boat has a max beam of 4.2 meters, 4 to 6 person in 2 or 3 guests cabins with 2 bath. The kitchen is present on the main. Almost all have a flybridge. And none of them have a motor powered tender inside. CHALLENGE: The real challenge was to design a sport motoryacht with the same comfort of elements of the classic motoryacht, giving to the Cobrey brand a unique strong Italian design identity.
