PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Pressure Sensing Lamp

INSPIRATION:
Inspired by the abacus ball, the user moves the abacus ball to make the center of the lamp feel different weight, and then change the brightness accordingly. In other words, the user controls the switch and brightness of the lamp by moving the ball, which breaks the conventional switch mode of the lamp and is full of fun

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This is a new interactive lamp. The user moves the abacus beads to make the number of the abacus beads in the center of the lamp different, so as to feel different pressures and change the brightness accordingly. In other words, the user controls the switch and brightness of the lamp by moving the ball, which breaks the conventional switch mode of the lamp and is full of fun

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
The user moves the abacus beads on the lamp so that the center of the lamp feels different weights, resulting in different pressures that change the brightness of the lamp accordingly

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project began in Tianjin in September 2021 and was completed in Tianjin in February 2022

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
Part of the lampshade adopts ultrasonic welding of translucent acrylic material with optical particles to make the whole lampshade transparent while ensuring uniform light exposure. In the electronic part, pressure sensor is used to accurately control the different brightness of the lamp.
