DESIGN NAME: Wandering
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Psychological App
INSPIRATION: In an increasingly stressful society, a large number of people suffer from anxiety or various mental illnesses.
Wandering aims to help people relieve negative emotions such as anxiety through a light gamification approach.
Wandering is a new concept in psychological apps that has the potential to help everyone get rid of negativity and find their way to a better life.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: With the increasing pressure of society and workplace, more and more people feel anxious and fall into depression for a long time. Wandering hopes to solve this problem through a light gaming experience. Wandering leads users into their own spiritual world. Users get positive feedback and guidance by exploring their own spiritual world. Thus gradually guide users to obtain a more positive attitude towards life.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: At the beginning of registration, users will choose their own spiritual body. Users start a spiritual journey by playing their own spiritual body. After recording their feelings every day, users will get corresponding feedback to guide users to rethink problems from different angles and establish a positive attitude. Meanwhile, wandering will also conduct light social matching through big data. During the trip, you will encounter encouraging words left by friends who are similar to your situation. After achieving phased results, users can step into the next area and continue their journey. In addition, wandering also provides meditation function.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in September 2021 and finished in January 2022 in Shanghai.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: At the beginning of the design, we conducted brainstorming, mind mapping, scene interviews, etc. In the realization part of the project, we used Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Figma and Blender.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We conducted in-depth research and interviews with groups suffering from anxiety and depression for a long time. Then found that most of today's psychological apps are difficult to really long-term anxiety. The dredging of negative emotions requires long-term self-guidance and external guidance. So we want to solve this problem in a game way of a journey.
CHALLENGE: From story to interface, we are different from traditional app and integrate many parts similar to game design, which makes us very happy.
