PRIMARY FUNCTION: 3d Dental Scanner
INSPIRATION: It is designed in consideration of human-centered design because it is a medical device that directly touches and uses the patient's oral cavity. In the case of tips that go directly into the patient's oral cavity, the size is as small as possible, the main body, the grip was important in a form that was easy to scan the entire mouth while holding it with one hand, and it was designed so that there was no problem in operating even if the button part was placed behind the main body.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The 3D dental scanner is a digital device that allows you to use impression materials to make a tooth-bone in the existing dentist's office and send it directly to the public office or design it directly from the dentist's office.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Oral scanner is a dental diagnostic device with the latest technology based on 3D high-speed scanning method and image implementation software. A dentist is a medical device that can diagnose and manage the patient's oral structure immediately by moving a scanner into the patient's mouth in real time and filming it.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Design project started in March 2021 and finished in December 2021 in Seoul, Korea

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We collected various opinions through stakeholders from dentists and marketing and clinical personnel who are medical staff and reflected them in the design concept. In addition, the self-produced and analyzed medical device design trend over the past 14 years was referenced.
CHALLENGE: Since the oral scanner used in dentistry is an instrument that investigates the patient's mouth, it was important to reflect the size and depth so that the oral cavity can be investigated safely and without risk. Starting with a basic survey on the human body of various sizes and teeth of the oral cavity, we tried to develop the most ergonomic and universal oral medical device based on the professional findings of dentist.
