PRIMARY FUNCTION: Fluid Transmission
INSPIRATION: According to the user's feedback, whether it is simple sub assembly or quantitative transmission, replacing the hose and dismantling the pumphead are the most frequent steps. If it is a newcomer, he must rely on the manual.
The design is inspired by the piston pump. Its structure is made up of levers to move the piston up and down. The structure is very simple, and the way the pump head opens is the same.And his color scheme helps beginners understand how he works.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The transporter is a peristaltic pump head that squeezes the hose through a roller to move the liquid in the pipe.
His main innovation was the way the pump head was opened, followed by the way the pump head was connected to the drive.
We use a highly saturated color block to indicate the operation button, so that the staff can easily notice the operation position.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Rotate the red cover upward, lift the pressure tube structure, put the hose in, and rotate the red cover downward again to complete the hose installation. The two sides of the hose inlet and outlet are elastic clamping structure, can be used in No.13-17 hose.
When the pump head is connected to the driver, first fix the adapter plate to the driver through screws, and then rotate the pump head towards the card slot of the connecting board, and the spring self-locks to complete the installation.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project began in April 2021 in Hebei, China, and ended in February 2022 in Hebei, China.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The characteristics of peristaltic pump are not in contact with liquid, sanitary and safe, and the transmission medium uses silica gel hose, which can be transmitted warm and will not destroy the composition of the liquid, so there are peristaltic pumps in many industries. In the lab we test the life of the hose by constantly squeezing it, so as to know how often the hose is replaced. Through the interview with the user to know the problems in the pump head loading and unloading, so as to make a new design.
CHALLENGE: Practicality and ease of use were critical to this project. First, it must have a reasonable structure to accomplish the function, and second, it must indicate how the operation should be done through some indicators such as shape and color.
