PRIMARY FUNCTION: Thematic Map
INSPIRATION: Map information has many complex attributes user groups have various requirements on map based on diverse scenarios, resulting in high target search costs. With highly target-oriented thematic maps, combined with the characteristics and habits of specific user groups and designed according to the understanding of the environment, current affairs and user stratification, we can provide users with more convenient travel services.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Being the bridge between people and environment, the map helps the people understand the environment better and provides various services depending on AI technologies. We created thematic maps based on its understanding of dynamic environment, hot social issues and user classification, provides one-stop life services to different groups, and endows users with the exclusive ability of living, traveling and exploration
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The thematic map features the light and beautiful visual display, and flexibly integrates the graphical information of the map with text information on the screen. College users can understand the environmental characteristics of a location easily through the image, rapidly acquire information on services and hot events nearby based on interactive operations, and communicate with each other on hot events. This map brings them efficiency, pleasure and convenience in study and life
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was launched 2021 and the released version was available in September 2021. The software is updated online. The development team are in Beijing.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We have collected user demands for the map and searched the exploration direction through questionnaire, user interview and desk study. By means of the questionnaire for and telephone interview with university users, we have studied and determined these users’ demands, concerns and expectations for the map, and found that these users are demanding for more details in local environment.
CHALLENGE: In the increasingly complex living environment, users shoulder more cognitive burden and decision-making cost. The major challenge facing us is how to select the information from the massive environment data that users are really interested in. Therefore, we have developed the personas of users based on big data, and it realized the ability of personalize and intelligently display information services to users.
