DESIGN NAME: Lybra Balance
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Table Lamp
INSPIRATION: The design is inspired by a Chinese toy called "bamboo stick tumbler". When the mass distribution of the spheres on both sides is symmetrical, the center of gravity of both spheres is lower than the support point and perpendicular to the support point simultaneously, then a state of balance is achieved. The lamp body seems to be wobbling on the base, but won't fall off definitely.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The designer uses the center of gravity theory to design this funny table lamp. Given a fulcrum, the lamp will stand on it. Then gently rotate the swaying lamp to reach balance. The interesting operation method balances design and art. It can be played as a toy in the hand, when being not illuminated. The rotating lamp provides new experience of lighting.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: There is a circular button on the top of the lamp body. Press it once to turn on the light, again to switch from warm light to cold light, and once again to turn off the light. Being placed on the base, the lamp body can be rotated and charged as well.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The program started in Shenzhen in September 2019, completed in Shenzhen in March 2020, and exhibited in Shenzhen in April 2020.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The products are now mass-produced by molds to achieve standardization. ABS plastic and LED modules inside the products guarantee excellent quality and more suitable price.
