| DESIGN NAME: The Sea Waves PRIMARY FUNCTION: Office INSPIRATION: The design concept is inspired by the identity of Pertamina International Shipping. As an Asia leading company that bridges marine logistics to all around the world, the Designer chose a sleek modern-contemporary style with wooden and marine elements. For the design, we took basic shapes and visuals of waves, ships, oceans and other marine elements combined with bright colours as the design shows a modern-contemporary style. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Sea Waves is chosen to be the design concept for Pertamina International Shipping office, an Asia leading shipping company that bridges marine logistics to encourage Indonesia economic growth. A sleek modern-contemporary office style is represented by bringing bright colours & wooden elements, while the interior maritime concept is shown by the shapes of the wavy ceiling, blue colours, ocean depth graphics, and lighting ornaments. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Designer create a seamless wall, ceiling, and louvers divider with a wavy accent to bring a marine impression into the office. The Reception Area is designed with the ocean atmosphere by bringing ship elements to the reception table and the backdrop. To add a local impression inside, the Pantry Area is designed with the Batik accent, a traditional culture of Indonesia that is recognized by UNESCO. The choice of bright colours and maximum lighting complete the modern impression on the design. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Designer applied a sleek modern-contemporary style by bringing a bright impression combined with marine elements such as the waves, ships, ocean graphics, etc. For a contemporary style, Designer applied wooden elements and selected material from responsible suppliers. On the other side, environmentally friendly materials are chosen by selecting rattan as furniture materials. To add a local impression, the Pantry Area ceiling is designed with batik accents, an Indonesian culture recognized by UNESCO. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Located at Grha Pertamina Office Tower, Jakarta, Indonesia, the total net space of the Pertamina International Shipping office is 1.400sqm with a capacity of 109 staff. TAGS: PIS, Pertamina, ArkadiaWorks, SeaWaves, Maritime, Industry RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The Designer applied The Sea Waves design concept by combining modern-contemporary design with marine elements. It is inspired by Pertamina International Shipping as Asia's leading shipping company that bridges marine logistics to encourage Indonesian economic growth. CHALLENGE: On this project, the challenge was how to match the concept design with the elements so the design could be perfectly delivered. Designer create a marine impression by putting wave elements to the ceiling and wall. On the other side, the modern impression is brought by the bright lighting and the choice of blue and white colours to the design. NAME: Pertamina International Shipping PROFILE: Pertamina International Shipping office is Asia's leading shipping company that bridges marine logistics to encourage Indonesia's economic growth. PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS), as Sub-holding Integrated Marine Logistics which was inaugurated in 2021, was initially formed through a spin-off of the charter out business with the aim of obtaining real income, which later on a consolidated basis would provide professional benefits to PT Pertamina (Persero), in accordance with applicable shipping practices.
