RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The Mid-autumn Festival is a traditional Chinese festival, which was popularized in the Tang Dynasty and became a national festival later then. According to the mythology, during the reign of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, Xuanzong admired flowers with his concubine Yang Yuhuan and had invited poet Li Bai. When Li Bai was drunk, he composed a poem. That is the origin of the famous Tang poem.
CHALLENGE: The difficulty of packaging design lies in how to creatively explore the cultural elements related to the Mid-autumn Festival. Therefore, we chose the element of Apsaras in Dunhuang Murals, and place four nymphs of different postures into the background based on the Moon Palace to form the relaxing and rejoicing atmosphere.
