PRIMARY FUNCTION: Packaging Design
INSPIRATION: As the pandemic changes people's lifestyles, new retail has seen an explosion, the national aesthetic awakening is also quietly forcing brands to become more and more gorgeous. All industries deserve to be redone in a more beautiful way.
Stylization, artistry and pioneering are the three design keywords of this packaging upgrade. How to achieve these three points, we return to the most fundamental questions: What is Wonderlab? What does it mean?
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Wonderlab is a nutritional beauty cosmetics brand. "Wonder" refers to full of imagination, while "Lab" represents rational science, which is consistent with magical geometric effect inspired by "Op Art". In the market brand is to flout the fashion label, rational science and perceptual imagination through the combination of changing geometry, with design to jump out of the constraints of fashion, which makes Wonderlab packaging shows an aesthetic imag.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Wonderlab is composed of two words: "Wonder" and "Lab", which literally means antonyms. "Wonder" is full of imagination, while "Lab" represents rational science. How to visualize it? Full of imagination actually means "Magic", while rational science, most directly, is "Geometry". We deduce the visual concept of this upgrade from the name of Wonderlab which is Magic Geometry.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Project completion in 2020.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: During the process of the visual research, we found that the visual assets deposited by Wonderlab included brand color Klein blue and the shape of the little fat bottle. However these two visual assets were not fully used. We believe that Wonderlab should strengthen these two brand marks at the current stage, and at the same time, it needs to be stylized, so as to achieve the purpose of improving the difference.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: One of the best artistic techniques of "magic geometry" is "Op art". Op art is a visual art of careful calculation. It uses rational methods to draw variable geometric shapes, which is the randomness of careful arrangement, and at the same time uses bright colors to achieve perceptual visual stimulation. We built a package vision of Op art style, since it's in line with the Wonderlab concept.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We tried to strengthen the current visual assets of the Wonderlab brand, so that consumers can remember them both in online retail and offline shelves. In our visual research, we can see that the early fashion style of Wonderlab is being homogenized, and the visual uniqueness of the brand is weakening. As the leading brand in the industry, what Wonderlab needs to do is to constantly break through and lead the industry, rather than stay in the current place.
CHALLENGE: As the head brand of meal replacement milkshake, Wonderlab has always been favored by consumers with its super high visual expression and excellent products. However, the brand is not satisfied with the current situation and keeps looking for some new breakthroughs. Therefore, this upgrade of Wonderlab hopes to redefine meal replacement and explore the era of meal replacement 4.0.
