PRIMARY FUNCTION: Video Application
INSPIRATION: We noticed that the products on the market incline towards influencers but neglect the need of the majority of people. Therefore we propose the concept of "Every life deserves to be seen"
We care for our users from the slightest aspects based on the principles of universal value. For example, the choice of colors is aligned with W3C accessible design guidelines, and we analyzed different languages in order to get precise rules for font and font size.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Kwai Pro is product for short video. It serves users all over the world. Regardless of their ethnicity, color and profession. it is guaranteed that our users can find videos they are interested in. Algorithm gives everyone the equal chance to be seen. People can get to know about this world and obtain happiness here. This product makes it possible for kids in India to see the snow on Mount Fuji in Japan, for elders in slums from Brazil to view Cristo Redentor in Cidade de Deus from home.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: In the"For You" module, users can swipe up to discover different wonderful videos, according to our recommendation algorithm
You can find what you like. Through the"Discover" function, you can find people who have the same preferences as you, and you can also create various exquisite videos through the"Shooting" function, so that you can gain the attention of fans.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in January 2019 and is operating in more than 40 countries and regions around the world, and is still going. The team members were based in Beijing, China

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The user interface of this application is designed in Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Effect, C4D, and the video production is realized based on AI face recognition algorithm, 3D engine, recommendation algorithm and other technologies.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Kwai was given a fully responsive design over multiple screen size of Android and iOS-based mobile devices.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We discover user needs through questionnaires, user interviews, etc., and show the living conditions and special skills of different countries and ethnic groups through video content. Obtain friends through technologies such as recommendation algorithms, design our user interface based on factors such as culture, language, and environment of different countries, and also consider user experience with visual impairments such as vision impairment and color blindness.
CHALLENGE: The biggest challenge is to make our products and interface design bring the same experience to users of different nationalities and cultures around the world, so that users can understand various functions through the simplest interaction.
