DESIGN NAME: Viskit
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Reading and Study Supplies
INSPIRATION: The brand name “ViSKit,” derived from “Visang Special Kit,” is a Korean wordplay, sharing pronunciation with the word ‘biscuit.’ The product characters were designed as biscuits to give a real ‘crunch’ to students’ learning, just like that of a biscuit. The chocolate, strawberry, green-tea, and cheeses biscuit characters engagingly represent daily life. ViSKit seeks to bring a familiar and friendly approach to students through its biscuit characters and products that enrich school life.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: ViSKit is Visang’s special kit designed for students’ study and reading activities. The package contents consist of reading stands, pens, notebooks, reading lists, and other assorted supplies that enable students to systematically organize their reading activities.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Student goods are designed with character-based “biscuits,” thus serving as a bridge for students to see Visang textbooks in a softer light than the “practicality-first” feeling often associated with educational companies.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: In consideration of the environment, all plastic packaging is removed from ViSKit products. Individual items can be stored in a reusable plastic folder that protects students’ school supplies and can also store school handouts. Additionally, the shipping box has been integrated with the product packaging box to further reduce waste.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: “ViSKit” is a brand that provides character-based learning kits to students through Visang Education’s online channel, “Visang Textbooks & Mom Talk.” Distributed by education companies, it is newly research and made each year based on students’ needs. Each season, different thematic concepts are used and the products are provided free of charge as various Visang events. Consumer responses improve yearly, and the event participation rates rise along with many reviews.
CHALLENGE: The greatest obstacle is to create a concept every season along with a matching kit and its various items. Highest import is aligned with creating kits that help students learn and meet their needs simultaneously. By analyzing yearly trends and using various methods of post-processing, new ideas are developed that help to better interest students.
