DESIGN NAME: Strong Tiger
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Chinese Baijiu Packaging
INSPIRATION: Inspired by the Takeda Shingen samurai helmet during the Warring States Period in Japan, the tiger head representing the century-old Erguotou ought to be a spitting image of a samurai returning from war. Using similarities between the helmet and the tiger head, we adapted it into an abstract design. The sharp straight line of the body conveys a tough carcass and the uncompromising spirit of a tiger; an unyielding attitude held by NiuLanShan.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Chinese have lots of love for the Zodiac. NiuLanShan is one of China's leading liquor brands. The year 2022 is represented by a Tiger in the Chinese Zodiac, an especially important year, hence, a Year of the Tiger limited edition is launched after Niulanshan - Year of the Ox.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: How to save consumer's effort to look for an ideal product is the key challenge of this case. A distinctive symbol, a bright color, an explicit layout of info and a unitive serial system of package will help Wellmind to solve the problem, where consumers are able to recognize and pick up the products from far away.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project lasts 2 months, designed in Shenzhen and produced in Beijing.
FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Packaging Design

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The glass material will differentiate the Chinese Baijiu from its competitive brands, who are normally packed in ceramics. Bottled in glass, the gloss and texture is upgraded on the surface. The strict control of color printing and number results in a good display of product's quality.
