| DESIGN NAME: Cedar Art Center PRIMARY FUNCTION: Aesthetics Experience Space INSPIRATION: When designing for the Art Space, the designers have taken the new and old, antiquity and modernity, the East and West, nature and culture as the materials and drawn inspiration from them as well. The interpretation of Eclecticism from diverse perspectives has been incorporated into the cultivation of spatial spirit with aesthetic standards that transcend market trends and fashion. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Cedar Art Center, surrounded by natural lakeside landscape and being adjacent to the busy Wuhan high speed rail station, located in sub center of Yangchun Lake, is a lakeside residence and natural space for an eco-friendly life featuring modernity, art and culture built by OCT Wuhan. In line with Eclecticism, such a space has integrated both historical charm and contemporary fashion, which enables it to be on par with international standards. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Art Space carries much more than the structured story of designers and wares. It also has accommodated visitors expectations and aspiration for ceremonies. It is our hope that Cedar Art Space can boast a strong and inclusive atmosphere of culture and art, which can gain sympathetic response from people. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: In the construction and interpretation of spatial meaning, designers have applied the integration of real structure and imagination structure. In the space, petal shaped chair of Kenneth brand, green striped carpet and abstract painting of glistening waves have formed interesting contrast, extending the space in depth. The artistic combination of colors in the way of flowing, overlapping and cutting across is believed to be able to bring about serendipity. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Traditional water ink painting is a typical example featuring the shape of water and charming atmosphere. Bangbang Lin has given the form of water and ink a brand new image, which is presented with contemporary art. The culture of the space becomes prominent thanks to the choices of the designer, such as the original furniture of GUGIANO brand, tabletop hand painted by artists, ink dot patterned carpets and simple wall mounted pendants. TAGS: Art, Space, Experience, Natural, Aesthetics, Modern RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Bluemoon has divided the DNA of design into three dimensions, Design, Nature and Art, which uplift spatial spirit with humanistic harmony and emotions. Consequently, Bluemoon Design has pursued cultural expressions for new design context with extension of diversity and further development of multi dimensions, be it symbols and metaphors in poems and abstraction and colors in art, which will turn into the codes and components of space making. CHALLENGE: Bluemoon Design believes that Eclecticism means critical thinking of arts, such as unconventional forms or skills, rather than giving full play to a particular style. The unlimited possibility of the space is generated from the mix and match of forms and integration of arts.
