Window Cleaning Robot
INSPIRATION:
The risk of window cleaning still exists in our daily life until we make a paradigm shift with a robotic cleaner to replace human hands, Hobot2S is therefore delivered to relieve us from the constraints.
Built with the high volume centrifugal pump, the auto adjustable pneumatic pad, the edge leakage sensors, and a dual ultrasonic spray system, Hobot2S paves way for itself to fit the frameless windows and the glass in any thickness to help us to clean the windows efficiently and safely.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Hobot2S window cleaning robot can restore the glass bright and clear effortlessly with the dual ultrasonic spray system. Thanks to the powerful suction, Hobot2S can work on windows in any thickness, while the revolutionary edge leakage sensors detect the window seals and the edge of the frameless windows.
The personalized voice prompt, auto cleaning reminder every 3 months, and firmware update over the air via HOBOT App turn the exhausting household chore into an enjoyable pleasure.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
Enjoy the panoramic view through the spotless window just by connecting the power cords, attaching the cleaning cloth, filling water, and then pressing the start button on Hobot2S. Operating in programmed routes, Hobot2S can move steadily by an auto adjusted pneumatic pad, sense the window seals by the edge leakage sensors, and dissolve the stain by a dual spray system. Users can personalize the voice prompt and update the firmware via the HOBOT App, and be reminded to recharge every 3 months.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
This project started in 2020 in Taiwan and will launch in the first half of 2021.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
Hobot2S leads to longer term changes to the robotic cleaner sphere after research in kinetic modeling and calculation of friction factor, 3D modeling, mockup, and prototyping. In pursuit of the harmony between technological advancements and environmental sustainability, Hobot2S only consumes a little amount of water and cleans with a reusable cloth. It not only saves time and energy but also ensures the safety of the window cleaning tasks, most importantly, it refreshes our minds.
CHALLENGE:
Hobot R&D team has committed to designing Hobot2S to overcome the gravity and air leakage, deliver accurate edge detection and clean effectively. Hobot2S has superior ascending power and strong suction power to move on the vertical surfaces. The edge leakage technology, one of the exclusive patents, detects the seal and edge of the frameless windows to ensure the steadiness and safety. Finally, the dual auto spray system ensures the cleaning effectiveness and water saving at the same time.
